Chris Evans and Ana De Armas -From Knives Out to Ghosted
The Dynamic Duo That Keeps Us Coming Back
Alright, let's get started
Chris Evans and Anna De Armas movies
"Ghosted" - a romantic-Action comedy where Chris Evans and Ana De Armas play a couple that suddenly gets caught in a spy mission right after the first date gone wrong. It's a classic action adventure with sprinkles of comedy in it. Unfortunately, the movie falls a bit flat and The writing is predictable.
However, the cinematography is pretty solid and the Cameos are just something else, which is brilliant. Kudos to Jonas “Ryan Reynolds- Cameo”. The movie is nice to look at, and has an IMDb rating of 5.8…Let’s just say a bit above average.
Initially, the role had to be played by Scarlet Johanson (Black Widow)- she co-starred with chris evans in past Nine MCU movies but later on, Scarlet dropped the role due to a conflicting shooting schedule. That's where Ana De Armas stepped in.
The Movie has cameos that will leave you bursting out loud, and if you Love Marvel Movies you are going to love this one even more.
"The Gray Man" - is an action-thriller about a former CIA operative (Ryan Gosling) who is being pursued by his former colleague played by Evans. That’s the whole plot, Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were so serious that they came up with that one.
Hold on there’s more to it, De Armas plays a pivotal role as a key witness to the CIA's dark secrets. The plot is full of twists and turns, and the action scenes are insane.
The two things I hated about the movie are the drone shots that looked way awful, and the camera angles were terrible. It's a good movie though and worth watching.
Has an IMDb rating of 6.5/10. If you're a firm believer in ratings that should tell you something, right? (In Antman's voice)
Finally, we have "Knives Out" a murder mystery-comedy that stars a whole slew of big-name actors, including Evans and De Armas. The plot is just those murder mystery thrillers like “Murder on the Orient Express” but only better.
Ah! Did you just see what I did there? No?, come on I just recommended you a movie Orient Express in a sneaky way and you’re welcome.
Knives Out writing is sharp just like mine but way better, the acting is superb (especially De Armas, who steals the show), and the cinematography is super charming. It's a movie that keeps you guessing until the very end.
Has an IMDb rating of a solid 7.9 out of ten.
Fun fact: A killer Jacob's line "You had sex with my grandpa, you dirty anchor baby!” was improvised on the set by Jacob.
Generally "Ghosted" may fall a bit flat and "The Gray Man" can be a bit convoluted still both movies have some great moments. But it's "Knives Out" that truly cut, with its witty writing, fantastic acting and gorgeous cinematography.
Imagine, what if Scarlet and Chris Evans shared the Screen again, how good/bad do you think Ghosted would have turned out?
